Abstract

Introduction: the combined management of Wilkie's syndrome and myasthenia gravis presents unique challenges. It highlights the complexity of these conditions: Wilkie's syndrome involves duodenal compression by the superior mesenteric artery, while myasthenia gravis affects neuromuscular transmission.
Case Presentation: we present the case of a 26-year-old young woman with a history of myasthenia gravis who abruptly developed dysphagia, later discovered to be caused by aorto-mesenteric compression known as Wilkie's syndrome. The need for a multidisciplinary approach is emphasized to integrate gastroenterological and neurological treatments, adapting to potential complications such as muscle weakness that can hinder the management of Wilkie's syndrome.
Conclusions: interdisciplinary coordination is crucial to improving clinical outcomes and the quality of life for patients, highlighting the importance of future research to optimize the comprehensive management of these complex diseases
