About the Journal

Aim:
Salud, Ciencia y Tecnología is an interdisciplinary scientific journal that publishes original research, reviews, and other types of contributions in the fields of health sciences, engineering, and technological development. Its purpose is to promote the exchange of knowledge and the application of innovations that impact quality of life, the efficiency of health systems, and the advancement of knowledge across various disciplines.
The journal aims to establish itself as a platform for the dissemination of studies that integrate health, science, and technology, fostering applied research and the development of innovative solutions from clinical, technical, and multidisciplinary perspectives.

Scope:
The journal Salud, Ciencia y Tecnología covers a broad range of topics within the following areas of interest:

  • Health and Medical Sciences: Research in the field of health and medical care, including clinical studies, reviews, and advances across various disciplines. Topics include, but are not limited to:

- Evidence-based medicine, innovative therapies, and healthcare models.
- Nursing and its specialties, quality of care, and training in patient care.
- Performance and evolution of health professions in different care settings.

  • Science, Engineering, and Technological Innovation: Development and application of technologies in various fields of knowledge, not only in health but also in other key areas of science and engineering. Includes research on:

The journal follows an open access model, which maximizes the visibility of published articles, which is enhanced given the indexing in Scopus and CAB Asbtracts.

Frequency of publication:
The journal follows a continuous publication model, where articles after acceptance are typeset and published in a single volume per year. Therefore, the call for submissions is permanently open.

Speed of publication:
The journal manages the following times of the editorial process: 5 days for the first response from the section editor or pass to peer review; 30 to 45 days responses from the editor on the observations of peer reviewers; 20 to 25 days in layout, metadata uploading and publication on the journal's site.
The editorial team combines rigorous peer review with the efficient timing of the editorial process, which is done exclusively in electronic format.

Promotion and dissemination strategy:
The journal develops a strategy to promote and position published articles on social networks and web platforms, which contributes to increase exposure and access to the articles.
