Abstract

Dental fluorosis is an alteration of tooth enamel caused by excessive exposure to fluoride during tooth development, resulting in white spots and aesthetic changes that affect the appearance of the tooth. Instead, injectable resins have emerged as an option to improve dental aesthetics in cases of fluorosis, by providing a non-invasive alternative to restore the appearance of affected teeth. For this reason, the study has focused on analyzing the effectiveness of injectable resins in the aesthetic treatment of dental fluorosis. It has even focused on analyzing its impact on the coverage of white spots, as well as on improving functional and aesthetic results in patients with mild to moderate fluorosis. To do this, a review of recent articles in scientific databases was carried out. In addition, the AHP methods of Saaty and VIKOR were applied to select the best treatment option, considering aspects such as patient satisfaction and durability of the restorations. Among the results, it has been observed that injectable resins proved to be effective in covering white spots and improving the aesthetic appearance in cases of mild to moderate fluorosis. However, limitations were observed in color agreement and its stability over time. In conclusion, injectable resins offer a promising solution for the aesthetic treatment of dental fluorosis. Although improvements in materials and techniques are required to address current limitations
