Clinical case report of non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma in a 40-year-old woman

Introduction: Adenocarcinoma has now become the most prevalent lung cancer in women and in non-smokers, it is slow growing and frequently metatizes. This pathology presents a very low survival.
Objective: to develop a clinical case about a female patient diagnosed with non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma.
Clinical case: a 40-year-old female patient who presented pain in the left hemithorax of mild to moderate intensity, without toxic habits in addition to dry, sporadic cough and weight loss of 30 pounds with an evolution of 3 months.
Conclusions: lung cancer is the leading cause of death in the world among malignant tumors, in this particular case what is striking is the a etiopathology of genetic origin due to a mutation in the ALK gene that presents a partial response of 55 % to treatment with Alectinib
