Abstract

This project was developed using a qualitative approach, which is characterized by the collection and analysis of non-numerical data, aimed at understanding concepts, opinions and experiences related to the influence of stress on oral health. To do so, tools such as web pages, scientific journals and articles by recognized professionals were used, ensuring that all the information collected was scientifically and provenly supported. The data obtained were organized in a table, which facilitated the analysis and allowed the identification of the main conditions that affect the oral cavity. Stress has been shown to have a significant negative impact on oral health, contributing to the appearance of diseases such as bruxism, dental caries and periodontal diseases, which are aggravated by the decrease in oral hygiene. In addition, the research highlights the limited awareness of the population about this problem, which underlines the need to implement educational and preventive strategies to reduce the impact of stress on oral health. Various practical recommendations are proposed to improve oral hygiene and adequately manage stress levels, with the aim of promoting a better quality of life and preventing associated oral diseases. This research seeks not only to contribute to scientific knowledge, but also to raise awareness and provide effective tools to address this problem.
